Welcome

The Ontario Chapter of the Association of Professional Genealogists (OCAPG) was formed in 1998 to offer a networking forum for members of the Association of Professional   Genealogists (APG) in the province of Ontario, Canada. We support the objectives of APG and the promotion of professional standards in genealogical research and writing.

Some of us have specialized skills in researching, publishing, teaching, lecturing, consulting, writing, compiling, and/or indexing. For the names of our members and their specialties, please visit our members page.

To become a member of the Ontario Chapter, you must first be a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists. Members are entitled to appear on our web site with a brief listing of research specialties, to belong to the Chapter electronic Mailing List and to attend meetings. Please check out the Join Us page for more details.

Our members may assist novice or experienced family researchers who are unable to undertake personal research in Ontario. Individual members should be contacted directly regarding fees and availability. Check Our Members page for more details. If you don’t have email or internet access, then please state your research needs and include a self-addressed stamped envelope (SASE) with a postal enquiry.

The listings on this website have been supplied by each member. The Ontario Chapter of APG does not assume responsibility for agreements contracted between individuals.
